Announcements

Observational Studies invites submission of comments on Leo Breiman’s paper “Statistical Modeling: The Two Cultures” (Statistical Science, 2001, 16(3), 199-231).  Breiman’s paper will be reprinted on its 20th anniversary along with comments.  The deadline for submitting comments is March 5, 2021.


The 2020 Cochran award for best paper published in Observational Studies between 2015-2019 is awarded to Giancarlo Visconti and Jose Zubizarreta for their paper “Handling Limited Overlap in Observational Studies with Cardinality Matching.”  The next Cochran award will be given in 2023 for a paper published between 2020-2022.
