Observational Studies will award the William Cochran prize for best paper published in the journal. The first prize will be awarded in 2020 to honor the best paper published in the journal’s first five years, 2015-2019. The prize will be awarded subsequently every three years. Criteria for the prize are originality, importance, clarity of thought and excellence in writing.
